🤖AI for Jurists! #1 – Neural networks

Hello Privacy Community!

Who else struggles to wrap their head around how neural networks work when we talk about AI? 🤯

Don’t worry, I have got your back! Today, I have put together a super simple graphic that breaks it all down, especially for those of us who aren’t tech wizards. And to all the engineers out there, please go easy on me! 😇

💭Let’s imagine that the AI must recognize cats 🐱 in photographs. To do this, the first thing it does is to analyze the image in small pieces, as if it were a puzzle🧩 It looks at colors, shapes, details such as ears, whiskers, tails and paws (input layer).

The AI begins to relate this information to other information it previously had about cats and begins to assemble the puzzle. To do so, it compares the pieces with the images of cats it has previously seen (hidden layer).

If the pieces match 🎯 what the AI knows about cats, it decides that the analyzed image shows a cat (output layer)! ✅

So, little by little, with lots of practice, the AI gradually learns to recognize what it’s looking at! 🎓

I hope this quick and simple explanation helps you grasp this exciting concept in the world of AI 💫

P.S. If you found my graphic helpful and want to share it, please don’t forget to give me a mention! 😉
